HINTS FOR ITS CARE. 1. - If an incandescent, burner is not giving n good light, the cause is genera ily due either to same being dirty or to improper regulation. 2. —Should the burner roar or the mantle not bo fully incandescent, this usually can be rectified by giving same a little moie gas, or less air. or by general ro-adiii-iment oi the gas and air regulators. 3. When the burner is correctly adjusted, the mantle should give a clear, steady and brilliant light, and the burner free from noise. A very slight movement of the air adjuster will usually remedy the gurgling or roaring noise frequently met with. 4. It is advisable to adjust the gas and air regulators prior to putting the mantle on; to he correct the flame should he as blue as possible, and the centre of same showing a distinct conical shape of a green tinted colour. A luminous flume denotes at once imperfect regulation. ,3 yfo flame should he seen outside the mantle.
