Tiie “Daily Chronicle's” correspondent in the Channel island of Jersel, reports that the Channel Island States (Local Legislature) have rejected a proposal to contribute £325,000 annually to the British coders, and 'have rejected a proposal to pay pensions and oilier charges that now are borne by tin- British tax-payer. HINDUS IN CANADA. VICTORIA (ILC.) Nov. 30. The Brovim-ial Legislature of British Columbia lias passed a resolution opposing the enfranchisement oi tin* Hindus in British Columbia. The resolution was moved in order to indi<ate Canadian feeling since Brenner Mackenzie King had intimated that *tho matter would lie discussed in the British Parliament.
