In connection with lie* Lake Eva oil discovery cabled on .November 2nd. the Detective Del'lli linen; reports it found, under the Iniuk of Robert Rothkchl. a German prospector whose syndieate took the option, a tank containing eighty gallons of oil. also six tills ol other , ils from a tan!;. The pipes led to the bore where samples of the oil were obtained. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Rothkchl ami his mate Thompson, a fortnight ago. on charges of conspiracy to defraud, hut I,nth disappeared. When the story of the oil lied was iirst told it was alleged that Rothkchl had received a letter from a scientist in Germany, who uilegert!y made the find before tile war, and was tumble to return to Australia.
