In connection with the freight war, the Patrick Steamship Company announces a further reduction of ten per cent between Australian and Tasmanian ports. AYOOL SALES. SYDNEY November 27. At the wool sales there was a. strong demand for wools of good length, quality ant! condition at late rates, while pieces and lower qualities sold exceptionally well. Crosshreds were strongly competed for. Greasy merino sold to thirty-five pence and greasy merino iambs to thirty-nine pence, the latter ptiee being a record for the season. INQUEST ON BANKER-. AIELROURNE. November 27. The inquest on Rerriman, who was shot and robbed in October, has eomn.meed. Angus l Murray and Lo. Hie Taylor were charged respectively ">'ith murder and being accessory. They nro at present in custody. Berriman's dying depositions were read and stated that Murray, who was present at the bedside when they wore taken, was at the station when Berriman was shot. 1 He was with the man who shot him hut did net himself fire. j
