AN EARTHQUAKE.
TO SHOCKS IN SCCCKSSIOX. At A. 10 o'clock this morning a sharp prolonged earthquake shock was experienced. It was accompanied by a rumbling liaise, and lasted lor several sect.nds. the direction being from the north-east to south-west. It. was a suastantial shock hut no damage is teporleti. A few seconds afe awards a second quake followed, but O'is o*:'* lasted a short time and was ol a lniv . lighter nature.
