After chatting for an hour, a dispute occurred. Dahlberg knocked Hanks down, and secured a stranglehold on his throat. The crew then overpowered the Dane, and dragged him off. but Hanks was dead. A sensational suicide is reported at llowen of an unknown man who, in a naked condition, entered the railway yards and climbed into a locomotive eluding the fireman, lie opened the firebox and dived into the furnace. Attempts to drag him out failed. Before the lire was extinguished the body was charred. The man's clothes were subsequently found in the vard. The vie tim was presumably demented.
