McLEAN’S PICTURES.
I IKK TA V FI! X KNIGHT,” TO-NIGHT. -Mrs V. .McLean will present an Exhibitors Alliance special entitled “Her Tavern Knight,” featuring the beautiful May Allison and the most beloved screen idol Wallace licit!. This picture play is a hlithsome adaption of a famous stage play, daring, humorous ami thoroughly entertaining. She was a puma donna and had contracted the sonu'wliat inconvenient habit of running around Europe and leaving her poor, uncomplaining husband in some odd nook live or ten thousand miles away. So hubby got peeved and took unto himself the lender commiserations o. a sprightly widow who lived in the j flat below, llubhy bad money, the widow had none, but she had a ltearl that was big enough to make up the deficiency. Nothing happened much, j except that Madame lold her husband to go to ihe oilier woman and made the fact so obvious that hubby felt uncomfortable and sort of knew that lie wasn't doing the light sort of thing. So he began to make tip to bis wife, who promptly told him that she had another man up her sleeves, which caused hubby lo emulate a good tireworks display. We come unou Madame at about three-quarters of the way through Lhe picture, sadly bemoaning the fact that her husband hasn't broken his way through her locked door. A two reel comedy and Gazette will conclude a fine programme. Friday.—A Paramount special, "The Ebb Tide.”
