They are accompanied by two dogs, and they carry their belongings in a wheelbarrow. They have successfully completed the first stage of their long trek, having reached Capetown from Johannesburg,

their starting point. They followed a roundabout route- of 1,73* miles, which they covered in seven and a half months, hut rains cut the walking time down to four months.

They will sail from Capetown to India, where they will visit most of the big cities, and will take ship from Calcutta to Perth. West Australia. They propose to walk around the coast to Sydney, where they will embark for Tasmania, and then cross the Pacific to San Francisco. Them e they intend to cross the States

to New York, next proceeding to Liverpool, and to London and the south coast. Leaching the Continent they propose to walk through France, Greece, Turkey and Palestine to Egypt. The final stage will be from Cairo down tho hanks of the Nile to Rhodesia and then on to the Hand. The travellers, who live by giving lectures and selling postcards, are writing a book describing their journey, which they hope to complete in five years.
