The Westport "News’’ reports Miami Mrs W. Gourley. of Karamea, suffered a distressing bereavement on Wednesday, in the death of their four year old son, Darcy. It is believed that death i> due to diptlieria. A dangler of Mr and Mrs Gourley was brought in to the district hospital on Wednesday evening !>y Air \Y. Brown, and Mr A.K. Edwards arrived from Karamea with the motor ambulance c uiveying to the district hospital a daughter of Mrs Phil Hawes, who. with Mrs Christensen also came in by the ambulance. Tt is understood that diptlieria is the nature of the complaint.
