ARMISTICE DAY.
I [by TKT.ECiRAPH—PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. SYDNEY, Oct. 31. The Congregational Union has decided to continue its efforts for church union, regarding the decision of tlte Presbyterian Church merely to halt negotiations as not being a final verdict. Armistice Day falling on Sunday, there '.fill be no official functions, but the N.S.tY. Government is asking iho heads of the churches to conduct special services with a silence of two minutes at 11 o’clock, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. It also asks the general public to observe silence similar to former years.
