Poincare's views regarding tbs' adjustment of German reparations, declared that if M. Poincare meant that there was to he no reduction under any circumstances in the total of the 132 billion marks, “then there would not he any inducement for Germany to do anything.” If there was a proper adjustment Germany would probably do her best to pay tip. “Otherwise she would lie down in the ling or lie down like a tadpole in the mud."
