Thk Coal lmrtTi:. The public are taking the dispute philosophically because there happens to be no shortage of coal yet for household purposes, but it would make no difference if there were. Leaders who do not concern thcinselve-. about the hardships of their own follower—or count these of less importance than their leadership—-would not disturb themselves about me convenience of the lookers-on. It is a great pity that otganised Labour shows itself so incapable of reasonable give-and-take, and that the ordinary honest unionist should l>e willing to remain body and soul in the hands of men whose mission it is to destroy that good understanding which all responsible employers and employees are labouring so hard to promote, Christ r|p!roll PrOW
