It was alleged that Wright said to the clergyman : “I know John AVakeford is guilty. I myself traced him to-various hotels with women.” , . , Wright is also alleged to have said on another occasion:—“Wakeford is a very nice fellow if he would only keep the seventh commandmant.” Defendant denied slander, and pleaded that it was bona fide fair comment without malice.
