The Imperial Conference decided that to-day’s proceedings are not to he pt'.hlisheii. It is still unsettled Mhen the debate on foreign policy will be continued. To-day’s communique shows that the Irish delegates did not attend. It is understood laird Salisbrtty’s statement on Empire defence dealt on broad principals, and not on the details ' of defence. Messrs Mackenzie-King, Bruce, anil Massey briefly contributed to the discussion. LONDON, Oct. 15. Lord Salisbury made a statement at the Imperial Conference on Imperial defence, as chairman of the committee appointed early in the year to report on the naval, military and air defences of the Empire.
