The only possible field for the student of political life in these days is the world. The mail who forgets the other nations, when lie thinks of his own domestic polities is living in a fool’s paradise. The prophet of social reform in the West, who forgets Asia, is a blind guide, leading the blind. No value is given in these days to the judgment of any man who believes that his nation can live to itself. But if this is true of the political life of the nations it is no less true of their spiritual life. If any man claims to pronounce upon the condition of Christianity, lie must. |„> invited to state the range of his vision. No man who forgets Asia or Africa, has any right either to despair or to hope.”—“The Challenge.”
