(Contributed). Questions that have been asked laedly during the past week have made it plain that very little is known about the methods of working Scouting lotBoys. The following list with brief <- plies may be of interest and help to clear away misconceptions:— 1— If 1 join the stouts how long must 1 sign on forr —There is nothing to prevent a boy joining one day and leaving the next. One does not sign on in any simp- or form. At the same time it is found in practice that a boy in a live troop usualv wishes to remain till he is about 8S in the shade. •_>. How can ‘‘grown-ups" help 7- As scout masters, secretaries, examiners, instructors, committeemen, etc. L.V finding club-rooms, camp-sites, louts and out-door equipment. Making uniforms (ladies especially), giving scouts ~ place in civic funet ions and celebrations, help Io form troop libraries. attending scout displays am! entertainments and the like. V-ilh publicly, .sympathy, and as parents by permission to t lie ir sons to join.
