EMPIRE EXHIBITION LUNCHEON.

Following on thi> ceremony of laying the foundation stone at the South African Pavilion, the Dominions' Premiers were entertained at luncheon 1 y the exhibition authorities. Lord Devonshire presiding over a company which was representative of all the Dominions and colonies. Lord Devonshire stated that in September five places in tlio Empire "ere not likely to lie represented at the Exhibition. but. to-day he nnticipat-'Mi that every part and every product of tin- Empire would find a place in the Exhibition, mi which a total of a hull sterling was being spent oil Ihe ■ building and exhibits. A feature of the luncheon was tl.o use of Empire products. At the conclusion of the repast Mr Massey turned the first sod of the F'.ji building.
