To-morrow afternoon on Cass Square there will be two football matches, the first at 1.00 p.m., a third grade match between Kiwi 111 and Star ill (C-rey). At J p.m. tiie Newman Shield final will take place between teams representing the Westport District High School and Hokitika District High School. These teams are the winners of the northern and southern divisions of play, and tln-v meet to decide who shall hold the Shield for the first time. The Westport boys tire expected lo arrive to-day at f> o’clock and will be billeted out. Arrangements have been made for entertaining them to-night at the pictures and to-morrow night at an invitation dance. They leave oil Sunda v.
The Wostpnrt-lTokitika matches have beer, in previous years very strongly contested and there is promise of a very interesting game to-morrow.
