PATHS. September 30. The relation of th<‘ divorce laws to the evil of depopulation was discussed bv the Congress of Natality at Marseilles. Some speakers proposed to abolish divorce. Th e reforms approved included: That divorce should lie impossible after two years of marriage, remarriage of adulterers and divorced people be forbidden, and the husband whose conduct led to a divorce be liable to at least three months in prison.
