BLUE SPUR NOTES.

(From a Correspondent).

A large gathering assembled at the Blue Spur Hall 011 the 21st. when the Committee of the Blue Spur School Brizes tendered their annual hall which was ;i huge success. The first part of the evening was taken up with community singing which was very enjoyable. -Much credit is due to the committee comprised ol Alestlames Sheriff, Martyn and Williams who had charge of the supper arrangements w hich could not be improved upon. During the evening songs were rendered by -Mr G Hareourt sent*.. Mr \\ m. Sbaiid. Mr A. Reynolds, Miss Olsen. Mr- )\ . Bannister. Miss A. Sheriff, and a sweetly rendered duel by Mrs Berryman and Miss E. Sheriff. The music was supplied by Mr A. Reynolds, extras being supplied by Miss Olson and others, -dr W. Hareourt, of Humphreys, who proved a very efficient M.C., kept things geing merrily throughout tho evening. Tt is rumoured that the bachelors intend holding a grand hall mi Oct. "Tilth, in aid of the Hall, which in my opinion would be the right step in toe right direction, as it is a pity that such a hall, which is second to none on the West Coast, should he allowed to go to wreck and ruin through insufficient funds to keep it ill repair.
