SYDNEY PROPOSALS. SYDNEY, Sept. 28. Mr. AYoeks (City Surveyor) submitted to the Town Planning Conference a scheme for dealing with city traffic. The plan proposes that St. Andrews Anglican Cathedral should he converted into a Town flail Square, and the Cathedral he rebuilt on the site ol the Church hill, dominating the approaches to the Harbour Bridge. Scot’s College should he rebuilt here to make it a lit companion to. the new Cathedral. The matter was referred to a special sulh eoinniittee to report hack to the next meeting of the Conference. N.Z. CATTLK. AI.ELROURNE, Sent. 28. About 70D good prime New Zealand cattle were yarded. Finn prices ruled as the sales progressed, 090 bullocks being sold from £2O to £27 sterling. Odd beasts to £3O sterling, a few cows to £2O ss.
REFRIGERATED SPACE

Air J. L. AleOhie. General Manager of the Wyndham Meat Works, in giving evidence 'before the Royal Commission on the Navigation Act, said that Refrigerated space was a monopoly and the high freights were crippling the industry. Only for the State ships his works would fie unable to continue. Tn Queensland the meat works were owned by the Shipping Companies who made profits either way and who out the Wyndham works out of the Singapore market.
