Brooks playing: I lam at the end of the first eighteen holes was six up, having done the round in 72, a record for the tournament. Moss met Hood and was nine, up, with eighteen lades played, doing the round in 75. Mo-s was playing splendid golf, Ids long stuff being exceptionally good. Hood’s work on the green was lielow his usual standard.

Wethered, seventy-one. in the Open Championship, 102.1, was the amateur record for the course.
