GARDEN EXPLOSION.

BOULOGNE, August 10. Two houses were each split in two and totally wrecked, the roofs of all those in a row carried away, and the windows of houses in a wide radius were broken by an explosion in a vegetable garden at Danties-C'amiers, near Ft a pies to-day. The report was heard at Touquet, live miles away. There were no casualties. What exploded was 7011) of British high explosive which the qitnrryman cultivating the garden had pilfered in small quantities from neighbouring dumps and buried. It was detonated hv the heat of the sun.
