The Alauawafu Ladies’ Golf Tourney reached the final stages tn-day, Aii-s Gambrill (Wellington) defeating Bell (Wellington) for the championship. In the semi-linals .Miss Bell defeated -Miss 8. Watson 3 and 2, ami .Miss Gambrill defeated Alms ATo ore ti and 4. The final game was played in intermittent heavy showers. The course was consequently sodden. Il was a closely contested game, never more than than one point separating the placers who were all square at the 17th. and Indeed the 18th. hole, necessitating an extra hole. Aliss Gamhnll claimed this -I—s. Aliss Gamhrill took Hi and Aliss Bell 5)1 for the IS holes. Aliss Gambrill was superior in the drive, but erratic in her green work. Aliss Bell was steady and consistent throughout.
