The final of the New Zealand Ladies’ Hotkey Tournament, between AYellington and Southland, was played on the Caledonian ground this afternoon in line weather, and before a large attendance.
The match resulted in a win for Southland by, four goals to two. 1 lie game was closely contested, but tho Southland team showed more pace, and
the 'Wellington backs could not withstand their fast forward rushes. The eu]) for the winners was presented on tile ground, and the Shield for the runners-up went to Wellington.
