At a meeting of over 100 suppliers of the Rangitikei Dairy Company, at Bulls, there were only two dissentients to a motion strongly favouring the Dairv Control Bill.
SHUNTER KILLED.
CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 2).
Ilenry .Marlow, a shunter, and a married man with one child, received injuries at Lyttelton resulting in his death. He was standing by a switch when a truck, which was being shunted, split the points and collided with another lot of trucks. A waggon toppled over and struck him on the head and chest, inflicting severe injuries, ife died in two hours. JOY RIDER GAOLED. CHRISTCHURCH. Sept. 21. At the Magistrate's Court to-day Mr Wyvcr ll Wilson, S.AI. sentenced a joy rider to one month’s imprisonment. He said that the practice of taking motor ears must lie stopped.
