[by TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] COAST AGAIN' BEATEN'. DUNEDIN', Sept. 20 The ladies’ liookey tournament -was continued this afternoon in beautiful weather and on a good ground. Southland beat West Coast, and thus brought themselves level witli Poverty Bay for first place in No. 2 Section. They will play off on Saturday. There will be no play to-morrow. On Monday the winner of the South Innd-Poverty Bay match will play off with Wellington, winner of the Nuim her 1 section, for the championship.

Southland beat West Coast by four goals to nil, though the West Coast team were actually in their opponents’ territory most of the time. The trouble with the Coast team was that their forwards lacked finish. On tlie other hand, the Southland forwards took part in some pretty and finished combined movements, and when they did break away, they wore effective. The goals were scored by Miss Bell (two), Miss Ashley (two).
