[by TELEGRAPH—rER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Sept. 18. At the New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Tournament, only No 2 section’s games were played this afternoon. Southland (!) goals) defeated Otago A. (0) and tints left themselves the probable winners of this section. The Southland girls showed fine combination. and they wore too speedy for their opponents. The scorers were: Miss Ashley (1 goals), and Alias Cell (-1 goals). The match between Poverty Bay and West Coast teams was of a fairly even nature, though in the first spell the odds were somewhat in favour of Poverty Bay. At the end of the first .•spell the scores were: Poverty Bay 2, West Coast 0. The Coast team recovered considerably in the second spell. The game ended : Poverty Bay 3, West Coast 2. Aliscs Golding. Hai and Hale scored for Poverty Bay, and Misses Stubbs and l/iekington for the Coast.
