THE COMING POLL. [HY TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Sep. IV. A splendid response has been made by the dairy factories of New Zealand to the communications sent them hy the Electoral Department, asking for lists of suppliers tor the purpose of holding the forthcoming poll i:i < onuci ti nt with the Dairy Produce .Export Control Art. The Electoral Department states that communications had been sent out to 556 factories, representing approximately sixty thousand suppliers. Nearly all of them replied, and the Government is extremely pleased with the active co-opera tiou shown by the factory authorities m getting a complete list of suppliers into the hands of the electoral authorities. Voting papers will he distributed to individual suppliers by post during the first week of next month. Voters will find enclosed a voting paper with an envelope addressed to the Returning Officer, Wellington. All that he is required to do is to strike out one line, |Mit: the ballot paper in the envelope, seal up and post il. The ballot papers should lie posted in time to reach the Returning Officer not later than noon cm October 17t.1i. To those factories who have not yet responded, reminders have been sent that the list of suppliers is not yet 10 hand, and it lies entirely with the management whether their suppliers are able to record their votes or whether they will be disfranchised, as no supplementary roll will be prepared.
