AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. FICME DISPUTE. ROME, 4 Sept. 17. Tlie Italian Cabinet has decided to appoint a Military Governor for Fiume, pending a. settlement. The Government of Fiume has resigned. The Vice President of the Constituent Assembly at Fiume lately complained to the Italian Government of the evil effects of the long delay in a settlement between Italy and Jugoslavia, stating the people were becoming exasperated. Unemployment was rife, and therefore a continuance in office was useless. The resignations meant that there would be no authority in Fiume, but a military governor has bow been appointed.
