New Zealand pays £G0.()00 to the League every year, while India pays £IO,OOO every week. The League’s Budget for 1924, is estimated at nearly twenty-five million gold frarn-s. It is suggested that if the League devoted itself to its ono main purpose —namely, the prevention of war—its expenditure would bo halved. KIR JAMES ALLEN CHAIRMAN.
