DOROTHY PHILLIPS TN “HURRICANE'S GAL.” Dorothy I’hillips, star of many Alien Holubar productions, "returns to the screen, after an absence of. several months in “Hurricane’s Gal,” a First National Attraction, which will lie shown at the Princess Theatre on Wednesday night. .Mr Holubar both produced and directed this production. The picture is a big sea story in which .Miss Phillips has the role of a wild untamed girl of the sea, who inherited her father’s spirit of hate and lawlessness, and from her mother, the warm romantic hloocl of the Spanish. The .picture is a real thriller, containing milch intensely dramatic action that is aided by a hydroplane, a destroyer, and a hip; schooner. In the cast are Robert Ellis, Wallace Berry, and AYill Fong. This is one of the finest sen stories ever screened. A good supporting series will also he shown. Prices as usual.
On Thursday next another bin First National feature will he presented starring Katherine MacDonald in “Heroes and Husbands.”
R.S.A. MINSTRELS. The .Melody .Mistrels and the great orchestra will make their reappearance at the Princess Theatre on Tuesday next, this fixture lining possible through the courtesy of McLean’s Pictures, which give up the theatre for the evening. The event will ibe hailed with general delight, seeing the amount of satisfaction given by last week’s performance. The first part will he slightly revised, but the whole of the second half is to be remodelled. There will be a new and original playlet presented, “Fun in an Estaminet”. This will be typical of episodes in the experiences of the Diggers when on active service in France. The stage will be set as a French estaminet, and neat-handed Phyllises garbed in the latest French modes, will be the attendants. Messrs Wright, Wallace and Aldridge will take leading parts and introduce much interesting character work. The patrons can look forward to something quite unique and altogether distinctive. In connection with the tour ol the Minstrels, Messrs Aldridge and' Delbridge arc in Greymouth to-day arranging for th o appearance in the nortnern fpwn on Thursday of next week.
