AVi I ford (Lender of the Opposition), and Airs Wilford leave in the Afa-rama to-morrow for Sydney, cn route to the East, whore a comprehensive tour will he made iby them. China, Japan, Singapore, and Java, will be visited. Mr Wilford will study at first hand the' problems of tho East. He will give special attention to- the Singapore base question. while in Sydney, he will give attention to matters of mutual interest to New Zealand and Australia. Air AVilford says: “I’ve always stood for a ‘hnncls-ncross-the-sea’ policy with Australia. The tariff-harriers, framed to encourage, assist, and protect, constitute only a difference between us, though the 1200 miles dividing us have been advanced by these of myopic vision as reasons for our separation and for living our lives apart. I've always advocated good feeling, and common understanding and goodwill.”
