NOMINATIONS FOR VACANCY. Nominations dosed at noon to-day for the vacancy on the Hokitika Borough Council, caused by the retirement Air D. J. Evans. The following nominations were received:— D. J. Evans; nominated by J. A. Murdoch, It. F. Pcrhain, W. C. Braddon, P. H. Renton and J. J. Mclntosh. A. G. Piikington; nominated bv A. AY. Yarrall and P. Stephens. The poll will take place on Thursday next.
