Barr, Wellington, acknowledging letter of protest to above effect.—Received.

From Miss C. M. Hackell teacher ai South Spit, notifying attendance lor July was 13.7 out of roll number of 88: also resigning position as teaei.er. Received and accepted. From Canterbury Board, stating the resignation of Miss C. M. llaekell had been accepted and the position was being advertised.---Received. The Inspector's report cn South Spit school was received. From Rector (Mr T. Trvine) reporting for August there was a roll number of -133. with an average attendance of 401.8; that a. circular letter to Ft schools re assistance to expenses of clinic, but the only reply was received from the Kanieri Committee; Miss Bogle had visited several centres; that Miss Wallace asked for leave to enable her to take part in the hotkey match at Dunedin, and that it granted airaugements could be made during hei absence.—Received. It was resolved to apply to the Board for new blinds required ; leave was granted to Mis? Wallace. . The Visiting Commiifee, not having visited were reappointed. Tenders for stationery were received and referred to the Chairman. Secretary and Rector. It was resolved to obtain an estimate for fencing the school memorial.
