TWO SPECIAL FEATURES. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY VO UP FAVOURITE STORY FILMED Undoubtedly you arc one of the millions who read “Ouida’s” famous masterpiece, “Under Two Flags,” and there is more than - a. passing chance that you also saw it enacted as a stage play. If so, it is hardly necessary to teh you of its thrills, its fire and powerful action. When it was decided to screen this masterpiece Universal had no difficulty in selecting the player to portray the role of Cigarette. There is just one star in pictures that has the. lire, the energy, verve and blazing eyes to do the part justice, and that is l’riseella Dean. When you see “Under Two Flags” at the Prioress Theatre on Wednesday, you will Mr a Cigarette that is a revelation to even the most blase theatregoer. Priscilla Dean dashes over burning desert sands, dances on cafe table tops, hates the man she loves, and loves the man she hates with an insouciant ardor that only she can achieve.

R.S.A. WEEK. TO-NIGHT’S SHOW. All roads to-night will lead to tho Princess Theatre, where the It.S.A Minstrels will make their debut. The company has been in active reheat sal for some time, and a programme of great interest should result. '1 he reports in regard to the merits of the entertainment arc very promising. The stage will bo specially decorated tor the occasion. Tho orchestra should prove of outstanding merit. r ihe musical and artistic talent is out of the ordinary. The object of the benelit will commend itself to all and there should be a bumper attendance. A dance follows the theatre entertain meut at the Soldiers’ Hall.
OTHER FIXTURES. To-morrow night at the Soldiers Hall will bo cabaret evening, a distinct novelty for Hokitika. Special music is to be provided and a vot\ jolly jazz evening will result. On Thursday afternoon the children’s party lakes place, commencing at 1.30 o’clock. At 8 o’clock the same evening there will he the usual euchre tournament followed bv a special assembly. The proceeds of all these gatherings will he devoted to the R.S.A. building fund.
