R.S.A. BUILDING FUND.

Tho Returned Soldiers’ Building Committee is anxious to concentrate during the month of September on a hustle campaign to raise about £2OO to pay off the liability on the Soldiers’ Hall, and to set about the purchase of material for the erection of the suite of five rooms in front of the hall, to constitute the club room.

It has been decided to canvass lor honorary members for a men’s club, subscriptions to he paid in advance now, and to he available for building operations. A Men’s Club is very desirable here, and in conjunction with tho fine hall now established would he of great utility to the town. Especially would this he so over the holiday season at the end of the year "hen there will be so many visitors to the town. At that period also there is likely to he many returned soldiers here, and a headquarters for meeting friends or making new friends would ensure a visit to Hokitika being a homely event, and in keeping with the town’s reputation for hospitality. Those desirous of joining up with the men’s dub movement, could hand their names into Mr T. Kerr, Secretary, or to Mr H. Shand, treasurer, paying the year’s subscription £2 10s i;i advance.
