A Salvation Army Officer staled that the girl attempted suicide, realising that her conduct was breaking her mother's heart. She had tried to get away front the fast set, hut they hep. sending ears for her. The Magistrate convicted the girl and ordered her to come up For sentence if required, on condition that she allowed Ensign Combs to guide her destinies.
