The Canadian-Pacific Railway Company has denied the recusations of tho French-Can admit newspapers regarding destitute immigrants coming. The accusations are that thousands of Englishmen, who are being brought over to Canada for harvesting, are mostly destitute, and they may heroine public charges. The railway company has replied assorting that nil the immigrants will he given work with the ultimate purpose of making them colonists in Western Canada. The company remarks that the special steamship rates have caused (000 to emigrate, whereas only a few hundred wore originally required. Nevertheless, the Railway Com puny asserts, till will he admitted, and will he sent to the farm lands. Thus they will be stemming the emigration westward by Canadians from the maritime provinces.
