While backing out from her berth this morning the harbour steamer "Muritai” collided with the liner Naringa, hitting her above the waterline, and denting several of her plates. A superficial examination showed some rivets loosened but the full extent of the damage cannot he ascertained till the cargo is shifted from tlie hold. The Muritai is practically undamaged.
