CHAMPIONSHIPS. DUNEDIN. Aug. 20. Owing to the disagreement with Wellington and Hawke’s Bay. several competitors for the New Zealand Boxing Ton me v from these districts have been withdrawn. The terms proposed by Wellington and Ilawke's Bay, ill the opinion of Otago, were absolutely impossible. Regarding the boxing dispute Messrs Talbot and Aldridge, representing Wellington. Napier, and Hastings, stated that their attitude i- in accordance with the considered opinion of tlie.-r association-,, and is supported by practiiallv tlie whole of the Nortn Island.
