Willie Quaife makes his final appearance in first-class cricket on September 1. when he will play for Warwickshire against Sussex. He has hcen playing in first-class rricekt for 32 years, lias scored 30.000 runs, and lias made 1000 runs in a season 22 times including the present season —a record exceeded by W. G. Grace only.
