Replying to a question Sir E. I>. Hell said it was hoped, next session, to introduce a bill amending the Social Hygiene Act. The Council rose at 3.55 p.m. till 2.30 on Mondav.

Naval Defence .£338,099, War Expenses Account £534,863, Customs Department £111,969, Pensions Department £104,846, Mines Department £35,951, Marine Department £119,132, Labour Department £37,708, Lands and Survey Department £183,380, Valuation Department £40,555, Electoral Department £9,021. Police Department £399,118 were dealt with and a number of minor accounts passed, leaving the Railways and Education estimates still to be dealt with.

Progress was reported and the House rose at 5.25 a.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Mondav.
