Reports of the settling down process have been mlistnrbed by a. melee at Kilkeal near Bantry, apparently arising out of a troops search at a public-house dance for suspects. One civilian was killed and Lieutenant O’Coononlly seriously wounded. Two soldiers and two civilians were wounded.
