Ai Rock Sanrings, Wyoming, rescue workers saved 35 miners lrom tin* exploded mine wherein danger had originally not been suspected, since* no detonations were beard when the underground structure collapsed. Meanwhile hundreds of women and children are waiting at the mouth of the mine for word from the 103 men still cnlievod to lie entombed. Red Cross workers are assisting the stricken households. A later message states that- 21.4 minors are reported to lie entombed.
The mine is three-quarters of a mile underground. Rescue cars from three neighbouring points are proceeding rapidly to the scene of the disaster, details wherool aro still meagre.
