The official prospectus for tho Exhibition will he issued next week, when copies will be circulated throughout the Dominion. A serious accident happened to Mr Lester, of Maruin, on Thursday morning. He was engaged in bush-felling, when a tree fell upon him. breaking both of his legs, one leg being fractured in two places. He was conveyed to the Beefton Hospital, arriving there at about 11.30 p.m. the same evening, l’art of the distance he was carried in a horso conveyance, anil Burley and Co.’s motor car met them at .Stevenson's Flat, and brought tho sufferer on the balance of the journey. As it is forty miles from lleeiton to Mamin-, over a rough road, Mr Lester's journey can be better imagined than described. However, lie arrived in good spirits, and is doing as well as can he expected under the circumstances.
