COLLEGE GAME. WELLINGTON, Aug 8. Tho annual college game l>etwoen St. Patrick's and Wellington Colleges was played to-day in fine weather before an attendance of 40,'K). Tho game was ' first and open throughout, and after a great contest, Wellington were victors by 10 points to six. Tail scored two brilliant tries for tho winners, and Bailey and Rushhrook one each ami Hannan potted a goal. Smith scored for the lowers, and Johnson kicked a penalty. SOUTHLAND V. CANTERBURY. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug 8. Canterbury heat Southland by 29 points to 10. The ground and weather conditions were ideal, hut the game was devoid of excitement. The Southlamiers were stale, and were without tho services of Richardson, White, and Bell.
