AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION. FARM STORAGE SCHEME. WASHINGTON, Aug. 1. The Federal Department nf Agriculv> turo has announced the establishment of a licensing system for the farm storage of wheat, which practically is identical with the American Farm Htircau Federation’s plan, as cabled on July 27, suggesting that the certified farm storage of wheat shall be made acceptable as collateral security for loans.

A message from Chappell, Nebraska, states the ill-fated Presidential train, Imaring tho sorrowing burden narrowly escaped wrecking when the tire of tho locomotive drive wheel tore loose. Experts later said several more revolutions would have forced the train off the track. Meanwhile, during an hour’s delay for repairs, a fierce hailstorm broke loose, pelting the roof of the train with stones the size of pigeon eggs. Then a rainbow appeared in the sky and the train started only to run into another hailstorm, which darkened tbe landseope lcr miles around.
