OBITUARY
Tho death took place at Westland Hospital on Saturday morning of Ml Frank Brothers, formerly of Kumnra, anti late of Hari llari. Deceased was 88 years of age, a native of Ireland and unmarried. The remains have been taken to Hari Ilnri for interment.
The death occurred at the Grey River Hospital yesterday of Mr James Green, late of Runanga. Deceased was 47 years of age, and was a highly respected resident of tho mining town, lie had no relatives in the Dominion.
Th.o death of Mr Abner Wool let, of Cow per Street, and formerly of Tnylorville, took place at the Grey River Hospital yesterday. Deceased, who leaves a wife and family, was 47 years of age. Mrs I). Shannon is a sister of deceased.
The death of Mrs Mary Close occurred on Sunday morning, at the age of 66 years. She was one of the oldest residents of Kumnra, having arrived there before the town was laid out. She was well known and highly respected for her many sterling qualities. Her two sons, William and John, will have the sympathy of the whole community.
The death of Mrs Eliza Jane McMahon, wife of Mr Francis William McMahon, of .Main Street, Kuinara, took place at her residence early on Saturday morning, at the age of 62 years. The deceased lady had not enjoyed the best of health for =otne time. She was a native of Cornwall and was a daughter of the late Mrs Davidson. She was well and favourably known and highly respected for her kindly and sympathetic nature. .With her family she has been a resident ot Kuinara for over 45 years. Besides her husband -lie leaves a daughter, Mrs O’Neill Taumnrimui, and two sons, Charles (Auckland . and Henry (Kuinara).
The funeral of the late Mr Thomas Ingram look place yesterday afternoon the remains arriving from Dunedin on Saturday night. The Rev P. 11. !■ laser conducted the service at the graveside. A number of wreaths were placed on the. grave. There were a good many mourners present. The funeral of the late Mrs P. Kirwan, junr., took place on Saturday afternoon, and was followed by a large assemblage, including many front Araliura district, ’i’he Rev bather I innerly conducted the services at St Mary’s Church and at the graveside. There were many floral tributes placed oil ti e grave from sorrowing friends.
