ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting ol delegates of tlio West Coast Bowling Association Centre was held at Grcvmoutli last evening. Present.—Messrs J. Ring i Chairman), Gittos (Bcofton), Leynods (Westport), Benjamin (Hokitika), Bowers (Runangai, and At. Blair (Acting Secretary). .Air Ring extended a welcome to the Runanga delegate and trusted the new club would have a successful career. Mr Bowers briefly acknowledged tlie good wishes. The previous minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. INAYARD CORRESPONDENCE. From N.Z. Rowling .Association, ■granting application by Runanga Club for affiliation. —Received. Members cxpressod pleasure at te Joining up of the new (Tub and promised every possible assistance. From Runanga (Tub, thanking Centre for action taken resulting in their being rdmilled to membership.—Received. From Greymeuth (Tub. expressing regret that the district had not been consulted in connection with the recent tour of Queensland bowlers.— It was resolved to express regret at the Coast being overlooked in the recent tour, and to a-k the X.Z. Association to consider the inelusion of the AA'ost Coast Clubs when allotting the itinerary of future vi-iting teams. From Westport Tournament Committee, forwarding balance sheet in conli'cuen with last sea'■nil’s tournament, sl owing a credit balance of £ls Os fid. --Received and approved a> very satisfactory. From Tiinaru Centre, inviting support to candidature of Mr (■'. E. Torloses as a member of the Christchurch Tournament Council.—Received. BALANCE SHEET. The balance sheet showed tlie (""Autre to be in a good financial position. The receipts, including it balance of £3B 9- 7d from the previous year amounted to COO 7s 4d, and expenses totalled £9 (is, leaving a credit balance of £sl Is Id.— Received and adopted. The Chairman expressed his appreciation for the assistance given by members of the Committee during Hu' year, especially in connection with the tournament at AA’estporl, which had passed off so successfully. On the Chairman's motion a hearty vote of thanks was accorded -Air D. McKay for able services rendered as honorary secretary over a number of years past.. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers resulted as follnwss : Chairman. —Mr James Ring (re-elect-ed). Secretary.—Mr I). McKay (re-elect-ed). Treasurer.—Mr AV. E. Reynolds (reelected). Auditor. —Mr F. H. Kilgour. Committee.—Messrs F. Blaxall 'AYestport), A. E. Benjamin (Hokitika), A". Alori (Rceftou), AV. Murray (Runanga). The usual Centre levy of nincpencc ■per member was agreed to. 1921 TOURNAMENT. It was resolved that tlie 102-1 tournament be held at Greymouth commencing on Tuesday, Feb. 12th. Tlie question of limiting the number of rinks to bo allowed to enter was referred to the Tournament Committee to decide, after the green al Runanga had been played on, it being suggested that some of the games should he played there if ihe green were suitable. The Tournament Committee was appointed to consist of one delegate innn each Chili, with Olive members to be appointed bv ilie Greyinouth Club. 1 1 was resolved thai the prizes foi the tournament he the same as for last year. N.Z. TOURNAMENT CENTRE. Members balloted for the election ol the New Tournament Committee, to bo held at Christchurch next season, there being 8 candidates for (i seats. The meeting then terminated.
